1. Chanapatana International Design Institute or CIDI Chanapatana was founded in 2000 out of the vision and the initiative of Phra Tepjetiyajarn, the Lord Abbot of Dhammamongkol Temple, Bangkok, Thailand.

  2. CIDI Chanapatana is currently located at the base of Bangkok's tallest pagoda. In the same temple, also situated the world's largest Jade Buddha Image.

  3. The founder of CIDI Chanapatana also established tens of temples both domestically and internationally, 500 child care centers, hospitals, schools, meditation centers, etc. Learning English at the age of 79, he is now 86 and still teaching meditation in English to Canadians.

  4. CIDI Chanapatana is Thailand's first international institute offering international design curriculum under an academic cooperation with an Italian design institute.

  5. All of the management members, comprising of top executives of listed companies in the Stock Exchange of Thailand, to the young blood of multinational corporations, are totally working on the voluntary basis with the same goal; to build up the best design institute in Thailand.

  6. CNN, Asian Wall Street Channel, magazines, all TV channels and most if not all newspapers in Thailand used to talk about us.

  7. With only a few years of existence, works from students have won a number of prizes and awards both internationally and domestically. Our alumni are now working in different walks of lives such as university teachers, designers in best brand houses, initiating their own businesses, becoming a better designer, etc.

All the above are correct. Surprise?

When I was invited to join CIDI Chanapatana in 2003, I was certain that we were offering the best design curriculum in Thailand. However, the main issue back at that time was the matter of how to survive the institute. I am quite sure that it's not only luck that has made us up to our present success. Thanks to our students, alumni, supporters and the current management team who have worked hard for several years. Challenges have become opportunities The issue of our concern at this moment is how to sustain our success.

'Building our own design out of our very own inspiration' continues to play the most important role in CIDI Chanapatana learning environment. Here at CIDI Chanapatana, we do not believe in having an easy student life, but rather a happy one. We do not commend the gifted designers, but the hard working students. We care less about your past experience, but we expect you a brighter future in designer society. So, if you share with us the above, you are truly welcome; not only by us, but also by your destiny.
